Good for her. Situations like these are why I think gun control is fucking stupid, guns are necessary for law-abiding citizens who need to fight off home intruders. I personally think what would be required is better background checks, not giving guns to people with histories of mental illness like schizophrenia, psychopathy, sociopathy etc.

It's been well documented that if you have guns in a house they are MOST likely to be used against the occupants of said house.
