I like how the media doesnt report on the number of Zombie Companies there are in China. Probably because they dont know, but more likely because they are too lazy to do any proper investigations.

Or because nobody cares except some weirdos on saidit. Gotta make that ad revenue money, but for that we need mainstream BS.

There might be a hole in the market for a new VICE that does what they used to do.

People with sense care, but they aren't talking about it. There's been a quiet exodus of manufacturing from China to other places lately.

People are concerned that China's strong arming of their own people is a prelude to the whole country closing off.. which isn't unsupported by history. The Chinese economy cannot stand up under outside observation because of all the bailout money they keep pumping into their system, but if they were to close off they could keep going for a while longer.

I fully expect China to balkanize in the next 50 years.

Interesting take. Can you see the USA separating? Not likely. The War of Northern Aggression was not for nothing.

Balkanization is a weapon upon weak states, artificial division used to create chaos, isolation, and to weaken. There is no reason for the powerful China to do that to itself as it takes the mantle of the most powerful nation.

You're not familiar with Chinese history. The provinces do not wish to be ruled by the center that extracts their wealth for use on imperial goals. China isn't a nation, it's an empire. Left to its own devices it would break up into parts, as has happened many times before.

That's not unique to China. Do you think Oregon wants to be ruled by D.C.? The South failed to escape. Tibet will never be free of China and Puerto Rico, Philippines, nor Detroit will never be free of the USA.

more recently when quebec tried to secede from canada, the queen said fuck no. The lites want more centralization, not more decentralization. China has tight control, really just taiwan and hong kong they don't have control over and they are working on hong kong.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly, more centralization is the order of the day. Fracturing only happens to those they wish to control - from balkanizing nations to destroying strong ethic communities in cities enticing and forcing them into the bland "white" suburbs where they are much weaker as a people, and with feminism and other weapons breaking up the family unit. A Brave New World is the goal with just individuals vs the "state".

Quebec never really had a chance anyway. I would be fine if Quebec left so they could be happier on their own, less strangled by Ottawa, etc. I'm quite sure we'd still trade, etc.

Canada is not a dominion free of the crown, despite them saying so in 1980-81. That was just more political theatre.

The Queen(tm) is more than just some tart in a frilly hat. She's just the figurehead of one of the largest institutions in the world.

And Taiwan has never been out of their sights. It is in essence one of those proxy battlegrounds when necessary, for wars in business and policy, maybe eventually even in blood.

Whataboutism. We were talking about China.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

You forked into balkanization and whataboutism totally applies when speculating about the machinations of power. They centralize the strong and decentralize the weak. China is hardly weak and is not getting weaker.

The USA has never had a history of breaking apart and reforming. China? Has.

[–]a_rogue_modron 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

China has spent more time in pieces than it has a unified nation. It's a region DEFINED by its tendency to go to war with itself.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

This is not your great great great grandfather's China.

[–]SteveTafe 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (15 children)

That's great news

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (14 children)

Not really.

[–]SteveTafe 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (13 children)

Why not? China is our top competitor and an evil empire.

You're looking at it as a pawn on the chessboard. Us vs Them. "Our tribe" vs "Their tribe".

Don't even look at it from the game player's view. Trump is a puppet too.

Consider the tournament organizer's view. It doesn't matter who's winning or who's losing, they're making cash no matter what. Fuck all the pawns. Fuck real people and their real lives. Collateral damage be what it be. They're making bank.

They are the real enemy. World War Three is not about bombs. It's a global class war, and the battlefield is your mind. As long as you believe in their games and don't notice who plays the players then you're trapped in a tribalist mindset.

The Chinese people are no more your enemy than your mom is. The Chinese have as much say in their government as you do in yours. None. Everything else is an illusion of lies to make you think you have control over your own life. Part of that includes having someone to blame and rage on.

U mean the bankers? Well I agree, but they fund someone right. The chinese are the greatest threat rn, but bankers are scum as well and need to be dealt with.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

bankers are top threat and china can be an ally against them. Read currency wars.

Above all the governments, above all the corporations, above the Western banks and the BRICS banks - is the BIS.

These are the rulers of the rulers.

rothschild front

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Most likely. They must be involved. /u/magnora7 is an expert on the Rothschilds and maybe he knows more than my speculation.

[–]SteveTafe 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Agreed on the bankers, but terrified of the commies

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

due to years of anti commie propaganda and pro capitalist propaganda that has you thinking bankers are good guys. commies outlaw what, private enterprise? Right? So china has private corporations. They are highly regulated and taxed by the state though . . . same thing here in this democracy. We need to overthrow bankers in both countries.

[–]SteveTafe 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

The bankers are swine, I know all about the Fed and the money printing private organization. I was hoping trump might have the balls to deal with them, but not optimistic

First years ago I got excited by Obama, got hoodwinked. More recently in 2016 I member Trump named international bankers in a speech. Wow! Never saw any politician besides Ron Paul do that. But I knew not to trust speeches after Obama and lo and behold Trump's first acts as prez is getting a cabinet full of goldman sachs. Lot of bait and switches in politics, before he became prez Bill Clinton criticized NAFTA, enacts it as prez. If voting did anything they'd outlaw it. I do think it is important for local politics but it is tightly controlled at a higher level.

The corporatocracy - government and corporations. Banks and media are corporations too. The government makes the rules that rule the corporations, yet the corporations pay the government to make the rules. And corporations aren't restricted to a regional country.

The corporatocracy is the greatest threat.

And yes, the Chinese certainly are playing their large role in the corporatocracy's matrix of rigged systems.
