There is a wide range of what could be considered a "vegan diet". If you raise a child on only vegetable, they will probably die. Of course if you raise your child on only hamburgers, they too will probably die. A proper vegan diet provides the body with what it needs. A proper omnivorous diet does the same thing. I've known several children raised vegan, and guess what? They're healthy fucking adults. The consumption of meat and animal byproducts is tantamount to the enslavement and slaughter of who knows how many millions of innocent lives per day. Is a human baby's life more important than a cow's life? Is a human baby's life more important than the lives of all the cows it will consume in its lifetime? Does the nutrition of a child outweigh the insanely abhorrent abuses that most factory farmed animals incur? Who's hungry for some Tyson chicken? Perhaps the death of this child has more to do with having never seen a doctor than being vegan. Also, was this child really even a vegan since the mother was supplementing with breast milk?
