The collusion is blatant at this point. Being aware of just a little truth is like having your nose rubbed in shit.

"Child directed" can be a subjective term, like "commercially viable" is as well. Basically, youtube can label you one or the other and poof, you're out. Time to jump ship, which will take some attention since I personally use it every day. If everyone aware of the censorship and collusion on youtube makes a concerted effort to leave it for an alternative, it may hurt them in their bank accounts.

This doesn't seem like something you can jump ship on. It's an FTC ruling that could likely be applied to any other platform

Ah, I replied a little fast there. Since the youtube new user agreement just recently came out, I was associating it with that.

Seems like a big policing job for one agency, wonder if they will have a committee to monitor, take reports, and if youtube will hire their own compliance group.

Which is probably by design, to keep any competitors from arising because they won't be able to pay the incredible overhead demanded by these regulations. This basically gives youtube a monopoly. This is another example of regulatory capture.

I immediately thought that when I first heard about it. I wonder how many youtubers like Jewdiepie are playing along with youtubes shenanigans and acting upset
