The Dead and Morissy and Bjork always sound to me like they're just making it up as they're going along without any musical structure.

That's why I don't like the Dead, though as a good hippie I've tried so hard, and only like a bit of Morissy and Bjork.

That whole album is special for me. It was their first. I don't like their later stuff that is very long jams like the five-hour one. Bjork I like, especially the Alice in Wonderland falling down the rabbit hole with animation. Very trippy. You're in Montreal? Spring is on the way but April is the cruelest month. I only linked the Dead because some other dude put up that horrific Jerry Garcia piece that sucked so bad.

LOL I missed the Garcia thing. I only read and commented on the top 30 or so posts, including this.

I don't know if this is ironic or not, I liked Touch Of Grey, their only top 40 pop song. I've heard Truckin so much I'm used to it. Oh how I tried. I love everything about hippies but their smell and the Dead. :( And how they were culturally engineered by the CIA and traitors like Leary.

I really like Mickey Hart and had several of his world drumming stuff until I lost my vast CD collection. If you like him you might appreciate this chill esoteric Meredith Monk / Sheila Chandra / Mickey Hart mashup I made: Monk-Chandra-Hart-Mix.mp3

Bjork All Is Full Of Love, and a bit before and a bit after is my fave for her.

One day I was walking down Broadway past a cafe. A girl sitting at an outdoor table smiled at me and I recognized her but couldn't place her. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out where I knew her from. I was explaining it to my girlfriend who I was walking with. Did I know her from highschool - but why would she be in NYC? From work? And then a block later I was like - holy fucking shit that was Bjork way out of context.

I'm in Windsor, for better or worse. The view of Detroit's Belle Island park out my window is not the worst.

I'm supposed to remind you to stay focused. Are you? Get to work dude. Are you on the ADS Spectrum, on the glass pipe, or just high-end productive? Whatever, it works for me so keep it up. Hanako is best girl.

Thanks!

I've just been "catching up" on SaidIt. But you're absolutely right. I've been diverted enough. I'll get on real productive stuff.
