Good tune.
I remember when it came out.
Little did I know, I'd be moving to Manhattan in a few years, working down the street from Tiffany's. Also, when I first went to NYC in 96, like other cities, the best way to learn their streets was to navigate to all the movie theaters - and it so happens I finally saw that movie. Turned out I didn't like it much, about users.

Not impressed with how NYC has developed since.

That is awesome, I can't imagine living in and around those famous streets. Like all big cities though, can't imagine myself living in one for any length of time either. Too much noise, not enough nature.

Many cities are full of locations with rich history, so one one level I can appreciate it with respect - but so much of our perceived history has been propped up by corporate media and we're told what "glory" and "honour" are, which are often inversed for the war machine, etc. There are many non-urban locations of note, all over the world, often propped up in similar ways - but beyond those "officially recognized" there's also so much more if we care to find them, with curiosity, reverence or not.
