Classic. Covered it at house party when I was 17, trying to drink, smoke and sing at the same time lmao

I never understood why the non fix version exists as the intro and outro are pretty under average.

They said the longer 'Overdose' version was the original song but the record label wanted to take the melodic part to produce the single that became Fix.

See, that sounds weird to me. It literally sounds like two different songs. One split in half and the fix placed in the middle. This is not something cradle of filth have done with any of their other songs (off the top of my head)

This is actually something they do in hard style often. A build up and wind down to the big dance drop sort of thing.

Yeah I think that too. It sounds like the intro and outro was added to make the song more hardcore. Sometimes I wonder if they did for fear of a backlash from the metalheads who might call them sellouts when they record something that close to mainstream rock. Kinda like metallica did when they released the black album. Making that longer version would be a good way of avoiding that. It allows the metalhead fans to claim Overdose is the real version.

hardcore

Yeah nah, can't go with that. Cradle of filth have some pretty tame tracks. Ignoring opening tracks like graveyard by moonlight, which they have on nearly every album, sometimes two; you get tracks like gabrielle, english fire, rise of the pentragram, temptation, that have way tamer elements.

In the end though, whatever. I like fix.
