I wish I could erase him from history. I hated him in the 1960's and I still hate him. His music would not make it aboard my giant space arc.

If you can remember the '60s, you weren't there.

I remember my family getting police approval to buy White gas 'in a can' for our camping stove during colored riots, where the police chief had issued shoot to kill orders if colored rioters were spotted. White family = 👍

It was more the 70s that no one can remember, although 'clear light' was an amazing alternative to windowpane. Purple microdot was a real teeth-grinder, and Thai-stick came in real sticks, wrapped in colored (non-negro) thread. 'Pot' came in compressed kilo bricks that were 85% seeds by weight.

The Weather Underground was waging a war against the establishment, and there were up to 1900 annual domestic bombings. Whole apartment buildings exploded and collapsed. Heiresses were kidnapped by negro gangs (SLA) and forced to commit bank robberies with machine guns. Was a pretty insane and chaotic time, but a basic job would buy you a house and gas cost around 30 cents.

There were some fairly memorable parts.

I remember all of that, as well as 'Christians' throwing rocks at school busses that had blacks and whites sent from the poor part of town to a wealthier part of town, while many from the wealthier part of town were bussed to schools in the poorer part of town. 'Forced bussing' worked very well, as it mixed middle class and lower class groups in different parts of cities. 'Christians' opened private 'Christian' schools so that their kids wouldn't have to be bussed downtown to the poorer area schools. Forced bussing worked nonetheless.

As for drugs, acid was often on paper, called red dragon and names like that; hash and opium were highly profitable when one sold it by the gram, and an ounce of pot cost only 30, whereas a joint was a dollar. The best pot was sinsemilla, Maui wowie, African black, and Acapulco Gold.
