Dat's fresh!!!

Definitely not 1991 though. We played that at my high school's dances. (Not only did I work at a record store, local DJed, and was Dance Committee Chairperson elected by a monstrous margin due to my unique campaign. Some of high school was fun.)

I looked it up - 1983: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Lines_(Don't_Don't_Do_It)

Forgot about the Duran Duran version.

In high school I was already learning about the hypocrisy of the drug war and such. It wasn't until over a decade later in my 30s that I'd learn about the highs and lows of cocaine, as well as come across a few people who couldn't handle it in one way or another. Like anything, it's certainly not for everyone. And our high-pressure culture and/or problematic pasts and/or mental health issues don't help. Coke was never a problem for me, but I sure lost a decade to the Big Pharma poisons.
