Seriously, it was a moment when I first heard this song. I was in the car with my pops and he was playing his classic rock music station that I truly hated and this gem came on and I was like what’s this??

I was super naive for a long part of my life and didn’t listen to any music that came out before my decade/the year I was born (I know, weird). I discovered a lot of great music that summer going back in time and being open. Baby Huey, Nat King Cole, Curtis, King Crimson, Yes, The Clash, The Cure, The Specials and so many more.

It saddens me for 10 years of my life I was listening to just bubble gum/mall core/skate/pop punk, and the other half different types of hip-hop and nothing else. I was so closed minded to all the good music out there. Kanye West sampling King Crimson on “Power” also helped me take the dive backward in time as corny as it all is.
