Not much offends me but narrow-mindedness does. It's basically shutting your mind to different perspectives and ideas . It's stagnation on an intellectual level; holding on to the same preconceptions and notions without ever questioning their validity. Just my two cents.

Are you sure that it is offence you feel? I would prefer the term "irritate"

You're right, "irritate" would be a more apt term to describe it. "Frustrate" as well...
