The funny thing is in a lot of ways, and I make no apologies for doing this myself, we want to encourage a europeanism in european youth. But nationalism implies a sub-europeanism rather than a pan-europeanism. And pan-europeanism politically is already dominated by the very people you don't want to hand control over to.
My question is this. If nationalism, and thus sub-europeanism, why not micro-nationalism. One of the current and past critiques of nationalism was that you end up with powerhouse giants and competing and stepping on each other's toes, ultimately resulting in conflict. But what if there were no giants. He're is what I propose... Village-nationalism. Then pride in one's community can intersect with minarchism and with ethnic identity, and it will truly be your community.
