I call it inching. You start with something small. Then you inch the line forward a little at a time. So people don't get alarmed. Then all of a sudden you've moved the line so far. People can't even see where it used to be anymore. This has been done over decades and generations. So people who don't learn history don't even know where the line used to be. What's going on is simply what is normal now.

Example. Don't burn fags at the stake. Don't beat up fags. Accept fags. Celebrate fags in the street. Let fags fuck your kids.

This kind of sneak attack is done from every attack vector. They break up the nuclear family. They call themselves father(religion) uncle(state) to tap into your loyal nature. Increase taxes and make new taxes. They give you food with less and less nutritional value. The air you breathe gets worse. To many things to list.
