As opposed to the very real memories and pair bonding she will have from being with other men?

Believe me, I understand the pain of having to share someone you love, particularly when the other guys were kind of pieces of shit, and even after they're long gone the memories will be there forever. It's not a great feeling.

But I've seen the other side of it, show me a woman who has only ever had one partner and I'll show you a woman who thinks about what it would be like with other men. At least in the first case, the woman picked you and not those other guys. They're real and have faults and their thing already didn't work out. She knows what else is out there already, doesn't need to wonder. But a fantasy of other men, you can't compete with that. And unrequited desires have a way of growing.

I think the lesser of two evils is to accept the woman has a past rather than to know she's going to always wonder what it could have been like with another man. Wonder if it could be better. That sort of thing can leave a woman vulnerable to temptation.

Men can sow their wild oats too, same thing happens when you've only ever been with one woman.
