There's been a very vocal minority of people who take the time to express outrage at Drag Queen Storytime.

Psychology today explains this minority: "The outrage and fear these opposers demonstrate is unfounded and based largely on hatred of nonconformity (and perhaps unacknowledged fears about their own sexuality)."

In response to your title, Drag Queen Storytime is not a drag show and is not sexual. No one is promoting sexual drag shows to children.

The reason drag queens want to read to children is for the psychological development and well-being of the children.
