Some are the same medications used to chemically castrate pedophiles.

Really? Which ones?

It is not acceptable to replace the risk of suicidal thoughts with actual risk of physical illness and/or the possibility of inability to later reproduce.

Let the patient decide that.

According to some studies fully backed by trans lobbies, I'm sure.

That is the evidence we have. What evidence do you have for claiming they don't?

If a person is experiencing depression from hormones.and you block the hormones, it doesn't mean that it has been successful.

Read the paper. Hormone and other other types of gender-affirming care were controlled for.

After adjustment for sociodemographic factors and exposure to other types of gender-affirming care, undergoing 1 or more types of gender-affirming surgery was associated with lower past-month psychological distress (adjusted odds ratio [aOR], 0.58; 95% CI, 0.50-0.67; P < .001), past-year smoking (aOR, 0.65; 95% CI, 0.57-0.75; P < .001), and past-year suicidal ideation (aOR, 0.56; 95% CI, 0.50-0.64; P < .001).

Millions of men and women have hormone changes in later life, it doesn't mean they are all trans.

True. Also irrelevant.

Tavistock was a specialised clinic, it's not like they were busy with A&E patients turning up drunk on Wednesday night after fighting over a food all match result.

It was reported, based on the interim Cass review, that Tavisok Clinic was "under unsustainable pressure as the demand for the service outstrips capacity ..."

Do you know this to be wrong based on your own research?

The EU is busy punishing the UK by applying more.red tape to our trade than they apply to Venezuela.

And the UK is busy unilaterally ignoring the Northern Ireland Protocol, and watching the Tories go through the fourth prime minister in the five years since May was elected on the platform of providing a "strong and stable" government.

The entire world outside of California is not conservative.

This is strictly only a California effect? Could I look at your data?

Also correct, this example is sufficient because Tavistock was a government run, medical institution, of a specialist nature with reports of nutjob pushy parents, so yes, it literally covered all bases.

Okay. You've got one example for your claim "This has literally been the push from governments, medical institutions, specialists, activist groups and woke parents who wish they had a girl instead of a boy."

You shouldn't really use plurals. And I question whether they are genuinely interested in sterilization.

Transgender rates are up to like 10% right now because of how prevalent the topic is and how confused 99.9% of people are about it. What used to be true isn't going to be true anymore, most of those people are going to detransition, and then blame trans people for grooming them. We need to go back to the days when hardly anyone knew about trans people except trans people themselves. That would also help them pass better, and they wouldn't get nearly as much hate because their supposed allies wouldn't be ruining everything and passing draconian laws on their behalf and making them all look like a complete joke.

If 0.5% is like 10%

Shall we all grab a pitchfork and get as upset as we can based on this wild and free speculation?

An alternative would be to try to find some evidence.

That would also help them pass better,

For that you need timely treatment.

I won't break someone's denial if it's holding them back from crisis, but in my case I just can't buy lies like that. Treatment can maybe make you pass if you're FtM. And even then you're still disguising yourself more than actually getting to live the way you need to. The truth is we don't have a magic bullet.

Does timeliness make any difference if you're MtF?

Because if you get in before puberty, most people would say you'd at least pass better. You know. Because the shape of the hips, the shape of the shoulders, the density of facial hair, the changes to the voice, the difference in adult height. These are the things that get in the way of passing. And they predominantly differentiate between the sexes during puberty.

Because female puberty does nothing fundamental. You basically stay the same person. Male puberty dramatically changes every single aspect of you permanently, and they're mostly bad.

Girls change shape a lot. They get wide hips. They stop growing upwards as much.

They also grow boobs and get periods.

But I take your point that men get facial hair and hair on their limbs and their voice breaks on top of similar magnitude shape changes.

And testosterone makes them die in car crashes 5 times as much. FtM transexuals on testosterone complain that they want to go to the pub and start fights all the time.

FtM can do most of that though.

On the other hand a vagina is easier to make with surgery than a penis.

It's a lot more complicated than just making your genitals look like the other kind, or even if you could actually get the real thing. But that's still a better understanding than most TRAs these days have, which is that it's just a social construct and body parts shouldn't matter and transitioning is transphobic etc.

Really? Which ones?

Lupron (leuprolide acetate), off the top of my head.
