It's just another grab at small business, resilient Americans that made it through Covid with their businesses now have to face the next hurdle, a fatfuck who couldn't run a Dennys with a gun auditing his business.

I remember when, under Obama, they weaponized the IRS to make applying for non-profit extensively delayed and extra burdensome for conservative groups, specifically. Obama's Tea Party attacking IRS scandal. They partly did this by use of a keyword list to flag extra for scrutiny. Dishonest corporate media and AP alike, pretend that because certain keywords, like "progressive" were also included, that it was not targeted, but instead just a lapse of judgement that could have ensnared any side equally, but for some reason did not. Maybe that's where there factor came in after the list. You always want to watch for spoofs from your opponents using your keywords.

Remember that, next time you hear about someone wanting to get rid of the FBI. The most likely place for the investigations to go from there is to the IRS.

We've seen recently that the DOJ and FBI is abused in the same way, for political attacks.

Yes. But the FBI doesn't have its own unaccountable court system where the accused must prove his innocence . . . the IRS does.

What kind of audit.... an IRS audit?
