Why does this read like butthurt? The idea that fascists and anti-fascists are two sides of the same coin is not new.

"When fascism comes to America, it will be called anti-fascism."

-- Huey Long

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (11 children)

He probably never said that. When Huey Long died (shot by a Jew), fascism was still trendy throughout the West. And Huey Long's probably the closest thing to a fascist leader America ever had.

shot by a Jew

"OMG! OMG! A JEW!? 😲 RUN FOR THE HILLS BOYS! THEY'RE A COMIN' FER YA!"

Fuckin snowflake.

I'm less Jewish than Adolf was. Imagine being so obsessed by da joos that you see them everywhere. You're not Palestinian are you?

I'm less Jewish than Adolf was.

Seems legit, I fully believe you, friend.

Adolf asked the Gestapo to disprove the rumours that his grandfather was Jewish. They came back and said "We can't prove it one way or the other", which is a dog whistle for "Fuck me, even we, the Gestapo, can't cover this shit up!".

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

True. Source: I was in Gestapo.

You realize Jews have numerous extremely well funded lobby groups whose sole purpose is to hysterically scream that the goys are coming for us and to make 98% of the population continually alter their society in ways that harm the majority, in order to cater to their neurosis. Even though they have their own literal apartheid ethnostate that doesnt allow any minority immigration and continually brutalizes and humiliates the indigenous minority, most of whom they already ethnically cleansed.

    [–]weavilsatemyface 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes I do realise that. It still doesn't change a thing about the cringeworthy stupidity of snowflakes who have to bring up der joos in every conversation. They're like those sad "feminists" who go around looking for men to blame for everything. Sad and pathetic.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Wait, you seem to be saying that like it's a bad thing?

He was a left-wing populist member of the Democratic Party

    No surprise there.

      Anti-fascists are nothing like fascists

      Apart from:

      • hating free speech;
      • hating democracy;
      • using violence to promote their ideology;
      • blaming others for their problems (and almost invariably the wrong others).

And of course lets not forget:

      • Both are avid supporters of the military-industrial complex. One side will fall for even the most obvious, transparent self-serving propaganda if you fly the national flag, while the other side will fall for even the most obvious, transparent self-serving propaganda if you label your enemies "the next Hitler".
      • Both of them simp for big corporations. One side just demands that the corporation flies their country's flag, while the other side demands they fly the rainbow flag.

Are their differences? Of course. There are a million ways to be an idiot follower of authoritarian ideologies, but the similarities are more important than the differences. Fascists typically align with traditional misogynic values like keeping women barefoot and pregnant and banning abortion, while antifascists align with neo-misogynic values like labelling women "uterus bearers" and insisting that girls as young as ten can consent to having their breasts cut off and put on hormones that will alter their body forever. They're just different flavours of woman-hatred.

I was with you up until this point, as this makes it sound like you think everything is just a conspiracy against women.

      Lol this comment is funny.

"I'm totally on board with being 2 standard deviations below the mean IQ, but 3 deviations is where I draw the line"

      [–]weavilsatemyface 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

you think everything is just a conspiracy against women

There's no conspiracy. It's just a bunch of woman-hating losers, whether right-wing spoiled brats who have never gotten over Mummy telling them they have to clean their room, or left-wing spoiled brat perverts LARPers who want to fantasize about being Princess Peach while they fuck lesbians with their "girl cock", acting according to their nature as woman-haters.

      [–]Vulptex 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Because it makes it sound like men never ever have to deal with any BS and it's only women who have any hardships in life. Either that, or it only matters if it's women.

      [–]Chipit[S] 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (10 children)

If fascism was going to work, it would have worked by now.

      Time for something else.

      [–][deleted] 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

It worked so well it took two superpowers and the biggest empire in history to destroy it.

      [–]weavilsatemyface 4 insightful - 4 fun4 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

Are you talking about the Polish military junta in 1939? Spain under Franco? Pinochet? The Second Republic of Portugal? Vichy France? The Free City of Danzig? The Kuomintang? Guatemala's CIA-installed "banana republic" for the benefit of the United Fruit Company? El Salvador? Argentina? Uruguay, Honduras, Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia?

So many failed regimes that ruined their nations. I'm pretty sure I would remember if they were destroyed by "two superpowers and the biggest empire in history".

      [–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

AFAIK none of those were fascist except for possibly Cuba.

Edit: I'm talking about Castro, especially before he decided he was a Communist, in case that wasn't clear. Peronism actually sounds a lot like fascism, but I'll admit I haven't looked into that enough to pass judgement on it.

I would say that there are three main categories of which I would describe as fascist movements getting into power (and the most exemplary countries):

      European/First Wave: Germany, Italy

Islamic/Arab Nationalist: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya

"Red Fascism": China, North Korea, Romania

      [–]Markimus 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Not a single one of these was fascist lol, he's talking about the Axis powers. You know there's this thing called 'World War 2', you somehow seem to have no idea what that is.

Oh man. Huey Long was going to set the USA on the path to greatness and look. Just like with Uncle Adolf, we came so close to having a planet where life is good. Sigh.

        1) Long was a para-fascist IE someone extremely similar to fascism

        2) This is a fake quote lol

        [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes indeed, fighting for jewish capitalists and against jewish capitalists is the same thing.

        [–]Vulptex 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

You're right, it's old. In 2020 when "anti-fascists" burned and looted several cities and were encouraged by our government and media, the right suddenly dropped all their principles and decided we need fascism to combat it. Now they who used to own the libs by pointing this out hate when you point it out.

        [–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I thought the right dropped all their principles in 2016 when they elected Trump?

        Or in 2004 when they re-elected Bu$hitler?

Or in 1972 when they re-elected Nixonhitler?

You're telling me this just happened? Citation needed.

Nothing political is ever 100% consistent, and they had to choose from terrible candidates. But pre-2020 they at least generally believed in some basic tenants. Now they're just like the left: "nothing matters except crushing everyone who disagrees with us".

        [–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Nope, that's what you folks were saying about Republicans in 2016, 2004, 1972, 1876, etc.

Stop pretending we live in an eternal present with no memory.
