I'm confused. Since the Azov batallion are the self-confessed nazis in this scenario, I would have thought the Russians would be considered the anti-fascists?

It's a clusterfuck in truth. No good guys to be found in any direction...

We need to get the hell out and stay the hell out. Sadly, won't happen because Joe and Hunter are best buds with the most deeply corrupt within a maximally corrupt society. Recipe for disaster.

Russians would be considered the anti-fascists?

Yet they have behaved like nazis themselves... during WW2 where they decided to invade Poland together with Germans and later when they invaded other countries as well

As I said, there are no good guys. I'm not defending Russia's invasion. Just pointing out that the group who defines the modern perception of "fascism" is the Nazi party in Germany; as such, technically, the "anti-fascists" should fight the declared "fascists", and there are powerful elements within the Ukrainian military who proudly and officially declare themselves aligned with naziism, i.e. explicit self-acknowledged fascists.

That was the Soviet Union, an evil empire. Russia is just a country.

A lot of people forget that Russia was just the first country to fall to communism. If you think the Bolsheviks who overthrew the provisional government (not the Czar!) were Russians, think again. Most were foreigners who did not even speak Russian, and far too many were ethnic Jews who utterly hated Russians.

They haven't stopped invading other countries after the fall of USSR. List of conflicts where Russians participated after 1991: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_Russia#Russian_Federation_(1991%E2%80%93present)

This piece fascinates me. The fact that the current brand of fascists - while saying they harken back to the German variety - are now aligned with the clearly jewish-supported government of Ukraine is a real eye-opener. Just goes to show that the addiction to power crosses all ideologies. It's never about what they believe. Never. It's always about what will bring them power. This is the nature of evil.

Nazis are not an issue when your goal is to beat down Russia for cheap food and fuel. America is a hollow shell with very little world resources.

    Would you like some corn?!?

You can only prop up the American economy via immigration for so long before you are flooded with useless people that cannot find jobs and sustain themselves in your society.

What a stupid comment. The US is the world's largest food producing nation and until Biden fucked it up, we were self sufficient in energy, too.

Ironically, while you're both right, your takedown of his comment is too strong.

Note that he said "cheap" food and fuel. That's a very different thing than just food and fuel. The US has been living this incredibly easy life for the past several decades not because we were living within the resources we have but because we have been exploiting the resources of the world for a price that is massively subsidized by the power of the reserve currency. These are two very different things. Yes, the US has enough food and fuel to live within our borders, but that life will look very different (significantly more work required per resource unit) than the life since 1945. Note I didn't say "would look very different". I said "will". I say this because this is precisely what is happening as we speak. The US access to foreign resources is being chipped away. For that reason, "the American economy" - which is what this commenter said - is collapsing. Our economy was built since WWII on the foundation of access to global resources. As that access is blocked, our economy must shrink, and that is precisely what we are witnessing, with the expected associated pain.
