Everything is a fantasy. Yes even your precious "Science" (which becomes clear if you see how the sausage is really made).

But some fantasies have more utility than others. Christianity offers community, ritual, and powerful Mythology with a long and deep history. It has "resonance" is what I like to say. (I am not a Christian, but I recognize that its forms impart certain power to its practitioners.)
