For those who are unaware, "honk honk" is code for Heil Hitler.

honk honk

A dog whistle commonly used by neo-nazis. Esentially a code for "Heil Hitler", originating from the right wing side of the clown world movement, "honk honk" being the sound of a clown's nose.

Don't be ridiculous, totally different application of "honk honk". Your wife's "honk honk" means the spark is still there and you know how to joke with the wife.

If the phrase can be used non-maliciously and in good humor then why assume this post used it maliciously? I know you didn't state that it did but you kind of imply it. Generally speaking I prefer not to assume maliciousness. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. Phrases like that have a way of spreading and changing meaning as they spread. My interpretation of the post was the phrase is used as a statement on the ridiculousness of the situation.
