Oh, a Russian propaganda campaign. I heard about those, but never saw one myself.

This is exactly what Russian propaganda looks like. Literally nobody defends Russian propaganda. Why are you defending it?

After 2,977 victims were killed in September 11, 2001 the patriot act was passed, that allowed unprecedented surveillance of US citizens, including the tapping of domestic phones. There was some grumbling but overall the reaction to increased checks, the requirement to show papers to travel, and accessing of personal communications by the government was accepted given the risk.

After 718,000 victims were killed in the US from the covid pandemic, people seem to be objecting to wearing masks when they go out.

The long term effect of mask wearing is that facial recognition software is less reliable. The requirement is less laborious than putting on other clothes. But these people don't object to having to put their dick inside their pants when they go out ... do they?

What's the real issue here, because surely we can agree that this "freedom" thing makes no fucking sense.

Poor mom has to suffer through miles of these paragraphs because that’s the only way she can get ActuallyNot to swallow their shill pills

      was accepted given the risk

Yes, given the risk which was inflated and manipulated. Just because people accepted it, doesn’t mean overextending control was warranted into eternity. If anything, it’s because of that same kind of overreaching power grab that people are hesitant about covid rules.

Lastly, enough about walking around with dicks out, it’s a stupid comparison. Keeping your dick covered was a socially accepted practice long before it became a law.
