That's not the main problem, not at the outset. What viruses do, if allowed to spread, is mutate, in order to respond to antibodies and thus continue spreading. As that happens, more people are seriously ill and seriously damage their lungs, and some of them die. Focusing on the number of deaths is a propaganda tactic by Big Corp, whereas the real problems is the long-lasting physical damage caused to those who've had COVID19. They also have fatigue for months thereafter (ask someone who has had it and is over age 30), and this fatigue partially continues a year later. The problem is the spread and mutation of the virus, along with the lasting physical damage cause by COVID19 (for many, not all people). 215 million people have recovered from COVID19, many of whom now have related physical, and supposedly, congnative, problems.

EDIT: I now see that 730,404 people have died in the US because of the virus. This too is a reason to take the vaccine, though it's not the main reason.

why does big corp focus on a propaganda technique that is bound to fail. I guess they could have lied and denied that .01% die and said it was much higher like 50% but they knew no one would buy that as they saw with their own eyes people getting covid and recovering easily. Maybe the vaccine could help prevent long haul covid, but since the vaccine causes heart problems which also lead to fatigue, it's no good.

It does not fail with people who think Trump is Jesus, among other mentally challenged and poorly informed and educated people, just to name a few, and a larger set of people who will support a riht-wing political side regardless of how much they know or how smart they may be.

I guess they could have lied and denied that .01% die and said it was much higher like 50% but they knew no one would buy that as they saw with their own eyes people getting covid and recovering easily.

Moreover, they could not have lied because there are many global centers for disease control that have much of the appropriate data, such as this: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

There is no evidence that it causes heart problems in more than 1/1000000000 people, if that. There was some concern about blood clots in younger people who took one of the types of vaccines, and this is being studied, but the potential for this is so rare that you'd have a better chance getting struck by lightening 30 times.
