Good one

Imagine corporations politicizing science so that the dumbest followers of right-wing political groups will agree and thus help spread a virus and other forms of violence, thereby helping Big Corp and the .01% get rich while small businesses close and portions of the 99% lose their jobs and homes. Many of us in anti-democracy, anti-99%, anti-diversity, American Taliban, right-wing, Boogaloo groups LOVE this meme. Thank you very much. Jeff Bezos also thanks you for your meme. Bril.

Imagine being so stupid, you demonize a vaccine roll out plan because orange man bad, but as soon as the geriatric retard gets into office, it's gods gift to the world. The left definitely had more to do with the spread, flopping back and forth with mask mandates and lock down orders. When people are told a vaccine will prevent you from having to wear a mask, then a week later it comes out vaxxed people can still spread this awful disease, it creates hesitation for those with more than 4 braincells. Your smooth brain think isn't getting us very far

[–]Zapped 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

This. I know more people who willingly got the vaccine and are against mandates then people who are anti-vaccine. Those who sowed the seeds of distrust when Trump was fast-tracking the vaccines are now demonizing those against not just the vaccine, but against mandates.

You seem to have absolutely no concept of the history of the spread of the virus, c. January-March 2020. And by referring to others as stupid, you seem to be projecting.

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

You seem to gobble up everything the "elite" peddle to the leftists. Good for you.

[–]American_ 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (17 children)

Yes, I do remember. Masks, social distancing, and lockdowns. How effective were all of those, almost 2 years later? Still with the fear mongering. Still mask mandates in some places. And now a vaccine mandate, for which is pointless when you can still get and spread this virus.

My fat, 270lb, smoking a pack a day for 14 years ass got covid earlier this year. And hear I am. Shouldn't I be dead by the lefts statistics?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (16 children)

Lockdowns ended for various countries months ago, and for some of the US states. Boris Johnson (UK PM) said months ago it didn't matter how many dead bodies piled up, he was going to stop the lockdowns. So - fearmongering? - no. Of course masks help, as do vaccines, which is why the lockdowns could end. They're not pointless because those who've had the vaccine are less likely to die, as they build up immunity to COVID19. On some countries and in some US states, it's not mandatory to wear masks, and hasn't been for months. Everyone reacts differently to getting COVID19. I hope I've responded to all of your concerns. I am surprised you didn't know any of this.

[–]American_ 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

Fearmongering- this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. But already having covid has built up my immunity, so why fearmonger people and shut people down for not getting it

I'm surprised you didn't know that already

FYI: socks is sealioning and paid or not, ignorant or intentional, is a big fat waste of time as he supports authoritarianism, shills for big pharma, and perpetually lies (countless more examples available upon request) and has 2 strikes. But hey, freedom of expression, even for the Devil's shittiest advocate. My advice: ignore him.

[–]American_ 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I appreciate that. I some times find myself going back and forth with people for no reason. I know I don't know everything, just what I read and see. No one on the internet will get to me.

[–]I_Am_That_Guy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Arguing with cranks on the internet is useless, if your only goal is to change anyone's mind but your own.

On the other hand, if you do it correctly, it helps you sharpen your own skills at research and in debate tactics. When you get good at it, you have a better chance of changing the views of people who are not already locked into a point of view.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

No - not the pandemic of the unvaccinated. Moreover, antibodies you may have produced months ago may or may not continue in production several months later. The added benefit you have is that those who've had COVID19 may have cells that the vaccine can react with in order to help develop more antibodies. It's a process that has to be encouraged every 7 or 8 months until there are fewer cases of COVID19, and thus not much need for a backup shot. You'll require the vaccine. No one is fearmongering you. This is not about you. This is about joining in the effort to reduce the spread of the virus for everyone.

[–]American_ 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

The spread of a virus with a .01 mortality rate for people in my age bracket. Their is studies out not saying my natural immunity will outlast the vaccines out there. They're projecting that within 3 months the vaccine in peoples bodies will be rendered almost useless, hence the boaster shots for the rest of our lives.

And how is Evey one getting a vaccine going to stop covid. Flu shots have been around for how long? Every year people need to get them, and every year people still get the flu. The flu hasn't shown any sign of slowing. So what makes you think this vaccine is going to do the same.

Silencing one groups opinions, only to show your own down the public's throat is a form of fear mongering. MSM isn't letting people get all the facts, showing the mass population only the bad of this disease

Lol, have you been keeping up? Biden said back in August this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. I just seen compilation of other "experts" saying the same thing. Sorry for being rude, I would have thought the vax would thicken ones skin a little more

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

I've explained all of this in response to another user in the same thread (per my comment history). Essentially, you've somehow been mislead to focus on these issues, whereas the main issue is that it's important to try to help reduce the spread of COVID19, with the steps requesed by the CDC, if you're in the US. This will end the lockdown in your area, if there is one.

[–]American_ 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

But the CDC has been flip flopping on regulations and what "needs to be done" from the start. First masks are useless, then we need masks. Then double masks with social distancing. Then no mask if your vaxxed, oh wait, you do need a mask if your vaxxed. It's all a show. And a terrible one at that. Hope you can convince some other low level IQ feller, but you ain't gonna convince this one. Good day sir

[–]American_ 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

And if you could just rub 2 braincells together, you would have realized I was answering your question about jan-mar 2020.

Try n keep up

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

No need to be rude. Nor does it seem that you exclusively address jan-mar 2020.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

How many times do I have to tell you not to comment on my posts?

FUCK OFF!

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (34 children)

we'd have to not go along with it in order for small businesses to be saved

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (33 children)

Small businesses closed because the lockdowns were necessary. Whey were the lockdown's necessary? Trump, the GOP and their supporters help spread the virus. Keeping small businesse open was really simple: masks, social distancing, test, track, quarantine, vaccinate. Really really easy to arrange by a wealthy US government, unless of course you want to make billions from the spread of the virus and the subsequent lockdowns.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

The lockdowns were not democratic, and they themselves don't even follow their own rules. Fuck you and your bosses.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (26 children)

not necessary for something killing .01%

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (25 children)

That's not the main problem, not at the outset. What viruses do, if allowed to spread, is mutate, in order to respond to antibodies and thus continue spreading. As that happens, more people are seriously ill and seriously damage their lungs, and some of them die. Focusing on the number of deaths is a propaganda tactic by Big Corp, whereas the real problems is the long-lasting physical damage caused to those who've had COVID19. They also have fatigue for months thereafter (ask someone who has had it and is over age 30), and this fatigue partially continues a year later. The problem is the spread and mutation of the virus, along with the lasting physical damage cause by COVID19 (for many, not all people). 215 million people have recovered from COVID19, many of whom now have related physical, and supposedly, congnative, problems.

EDIT: I now see that 730,404 people have died in the US because of the virus. This too is a reason to take the vaccine, though it's not the main reason.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (23 children)

why does big corp focus on a propaganda technique that is bound to fail. I guess they could have lied and denied that .01% die and said it was much higher like 50% but they knew no one would buy that as they saw with their own eyes people getting covid and recovering easily. Maybe the vaccine could help prevent long haul covid, but since the vaccine causes heart problems which also lead to fatigue, it's no good.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (22 children)

why does big corp focus on a propaganda technique that is bound to fail.

It does not fail with people who think Trump is Jesus, among other mentally challenged and poorly informed and educated people, just to name a few, and a larger set of people who will support a riht-wing political side regardless of how much they know or how smart they may be.

I guess they could have lied and denied that .01% die and said it was much higher like 50% but they knew no one would buy that as they saw with their own eyes people getting covid and recovering easily.

Moreover, they could not have lied because there are many global centers for disease control that have much of the appropriate data, such as this: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Maybe the vaccine could help prevent long haul covid, but since the vaccine causes heart problems which also lead to fatigue, it's no good.

There is no evidence that it causes heart problems in more than 1/1000000000 people, if that. There was some concern about blood clots in younger people who took one of the types of vaccines, and this is being studied, but the potential for this is so rare that you'd have a better chance getting struck by lightening 30 times.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (20 children)

the people loving trump distrust the propaganda the most. Likely due to having the higher IQs. I still think if they were more truthful more people would go along with their vaccine plans. More get the heart problems from the vaccine than the .01% that die from covid. So maybe you're right tho that covid has more of a threat of causing long term fatigue and that is serious, they ought to focus on that then. Lying from the get go was a bad move if this pandemic is a real threat.

ok, i was wrong. THIS is irony at its most exquisite.

You think they're dumb cuz of propaganda

Agreed

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

so maybe it wasn't a real threat and they lied because they knew that

The numbers of deaths are being argued by the people involved. Real experts have been censored and silenced for trying to talk about the actual numbers of deaths. Fuck off with your shilling.

lol. you want me to take this one down too? or just leave it there? only an actual retard thinks trump or ANY president in decades makes decisions. again, ALLEGEDLY retarded. not being direct. but i would destroy this dumb comment further if anyone would like.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Destroy all of their comments, every one here except for other shills will be glad of it, even if most users can't see it due to the sock-block.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 4 fun3 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 4 fun -  (2 children)

I wouldn't want him censored, I think he is brainwashed by media but you can tell in this thread socks is starting to realize he was lied to, as I use logic to argue with him.

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Naw, classic socks behavior is to stop shilling for obvious lies when they are logically called out. They rarely address such issues in the way they used to, but will still shill for the mainstream narrative.
