      he works on the linux kernel. ubuntu current version uses kernal 5.0 which linus worked on... ubuntu is just a fancy front...

        you download a torrent that's owned by the copyright people then they will get you that way. they actually purposedly put stuff on torrent sites just so they can send dcma notices to people that download it.

        I feel like their should be someway to encrypt your traffic on torrents without a vpn but idk

        thats true but well I've been torrenting for years, and got the vpn about 2 years ago just cuz I got a message from my service provider threatening me, so then I realized I needed a vpn, now I haven't had any issues since then. I don't pirate a shit ton of stuff just every now and then
