True story. I washed it off but the H, R, and I keys are now stuck. I'm hoping it will dry out and work properly.

Unless you have a fancy keyboard I'd just replace it.

I have several keyboards, but only one Logitech MX 5500 - my fave, by far.

Across my half century I've seen all sorts of things done with and happen to keyboards. This was a first.

Last month I got 2 cats. My old cat didn't climb but these guys climb everything and knock my shit down. They like to visit on my desk which I tolerate and even appreciate on occasion - except when they step on the keyboard. Because you never know what mayhem random keys will do my reaction is fast to remove him from stepping on the keyboard but not before he gushed like an open bucket. Just - how?

The mouse got moist, but unless it gets wet again I don't think it will stink. The keyboard got the full blast so I had to pop off all the keys to wash and the keyboard with a sponge like a fry pan. No malodorous airs so far.

Fortunately they were the only casualties. My desks currently have stacks of books until I finish building a new bookshelf. It could have been tragic.

I've had a fan blowing on the keyboard since yesterday. Tomorrow I'll give it a try again.
