Move to Cambodia but right now Rona is making it very hard to get in. You have a bad back too? For me it's the L6 and it makes walking over a mile torture.

I thought tylenol 3 was otc in Mexico and Canada. Pretty much everywhere except the US, GB bans everything ofc, and Aussies just banned it cause their politicians are a bunch of cunts.

I have a bad knee and either arthritis or fibro, docs don't agree. The pain is almost totally dependent on the weather, but unfortunately we've had several years now of some pretty fucked up weather.

Yes, I have bought Codeine without Tylenol in Mexico and have heard it is available in Canada but with Tylenol. In Mexico doctors run their own pharmacies often so in effect you're getting a prescription. A Canadian friend gave me a lot of the ones available in that country but the Codeine content was quite low and the acetaminophen so high it made the pills fairly useless. I didn't bother with the cold water extration because the yield on what he gave me would have been too small to bother with. For my back I went to a so-called pain clinic in this country and he gave me an injection directly into my spine that has made quite a difference. Maybe there is a similar shot where you are. It is not a narcotic. I asked the doc if he would give me a script for 30 mg a day of codeine but every other month so I wouldn't get habituated but he refused. Things are tougher all over now except the country I mentioned before. By the way, nothing I've mentioned is illegal but just the way it is.

I had just recently purchased benzocaine powder as a topical analgesic. Unfortunately that shit has some nasty side effects at high doses. Caused bruising up and down my leg. It does something to the red blood cells, makes em extra sludgy or something. Still, seems useful to have around.

And I was given curcumin recently. There's no good scientific evidence for it but some people swear by it and it was free after all.

The more effective things I use are kratom and alcohol. Weed helps keep me calm but I really don't want to be a chronic daily smoker ever again. I get dependent and it's either keep doing it or feel awful. All those things are like that really.

That's why ketamine interests me. You only dose every few months. Expensive treatments though.

Or just get the damned knee fixed but that's been a pain in the ass. For reason, the surgeries don't always make things better, and sometimes they make them worse.

I can't help but thing if I could get in there myself with an arthroscopic device I'd be able to pinpoint what's wrong more effectively. I can feel it after all, a surgeon wouldn't have any biofeedback. For that same reason I believe in cleaning out your own ear wax if necessary, you can feel if you're about to burst your ear drum.

Makes sense, just there are probably laws against that sort of thing.

I'd like to try Kratom but it is also illegal in this country and the suppliers will not ship here. All the worry about addiction is ridiculous since even a person habituated to the most powerful pain killer known (and I do not mean codeine) will be up and moving around by the third or fourth day off it, a bit shakily probably.

I did not know that ketamine had such a lasting effect. It will be interesting to watch Oregon and see what effect, if any, legalization will have. I am betting that hard drug use will not increase since whatever you might want was available on the streets of Portland before legalization.

There's a relative with about the same effects, Mitragyna Hirsuta. Not sure if that'd be legal for you. Good luck proving it's not kratom if you get caught with it though.

I don't know about that, there's got to be a % of people who'd buy drugs if they could find them or if they were legal who don't otherwise. I'd probably smoke a lot more weed if it were easier to get.

We'll be getting reports from Oregon soon. If we can believe the reports, drug use in US high schools has been going down in recent years anyway. My prediction is based on the fact that the market is pretty much saturated, in the US anyway, and if you want it—whatever—it's out there and easy to get, especially in high schools. We will see. Ask your doc if a blocking shot is an option in your case. The shot does not go all the way into the middle of the spine where the cerebro-spinal fluid is because that is a somewhat dangerous injection. The expectation of pain is much worse than the actual pain of the needle going in and one shot lasts for two to three years. It still hurts if I walk a long way but I can ride my bicycle with no pain at all.

My niece is in HS and I recently found out she was a pothead. Damn kids have better connections than I do. I think the technology is making it harder for kids to be found out.

We were pretty clever too. I suspect the powers that be want to keep it available to certain populations too.

[–]hennaojichan 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's what I've heard; everything is available in high school. Too bad I can't go within a mile of one. That is a weak joke as I have no interest in high school kids.

They've got e-bikes too. Peddle/exercise what you can then coast the rest.

[–]hennaojichan 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I might try one of those in a few years but while I'm still spry will stick to my trusty Cannondale. One reason is that a lot of housewives use those e-bikes, sometimes with a baby seat in the front and back. I've seen photos of Arnold the Terminator riding one in LA though.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I don't know what e-bike you're talking about but there's a HUUUUUUGE variety of electric bicycles and modifications. In fact there would be no shortage of modifications for your Cannondale.

You can improve this search to not be about Cannondale e-bikes, but more specific to your bike:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Cannondale+electric+bike+modifications

Meanwhile here are generic bike modifications adding various electric components:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=modify+bike+to+electric

As you see there's no end to the variety of sizes, propulsions, battery forms, switches, gadgets, and other modular systems. I customized a couple in Vancouver 11 years ago. It wouldn't have been done well or quickly without my uncle's electric knowledge, so either start strong or don't get customize crazy on your first try.

I would love to have one of those again.

I knew guys who would buy up as much of a substance as they could right before laws were passed to make it illegal. In this way they'd have a lifetime supply and could share or deal as they saw fit.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Like research chems? I was just talking about Foxy Meoxy (5 MeO DiPT). That stuff was awesome when it was legal. Like candy flipping but cheap. I wouldn't have minded stocking up on a lifetime supply.

Although when kratom looked like it was going to get scheduled here I was prepared to toss the kilos I had in the trash. The stuff was being treated like heroin pound for pound, which means a very long sentence for personal amounts.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly.

Find a place to bury it if it's that much.

I'd like to try Kratom too. Just to see. Doubt I could do more if I wanted to due to budget.

Ketamine is known as the Wall Street lunch hour vacation because they do so much high energy cocaine they can take 45 minutes to an hour to chill the fuck down and be back operational without skipping a beat. To the K-hole and back. The long-term effects are only regarding your moods. That doesn't make you impervious to bad things in your life, but if you're bipolar or chronic depressive it can certainly help.

Big Pharma has no patent nor profit from it. It's safer than other anesthetics but not profitable, so they risk lives for their alternatives.

Obsessive use of ketamine will develop health problems. For some reason chronic use in only men will eat up your bladder. It will scar your bladder until all you can do is piss a teaspoon at a time, all the time, all day long. It's a problem and then you die. Those people have deeper addiction issues and/or a chemical trigger and are still willing to do that.

Ket from Mexico and Canada is usually A+.

[–]hennaojichan 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's on my list but so far I've been in the right place at the wrong time.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Ah, just as I was saying. Ketamine can develop a habit in some but it's not a physical thing that can kill you if you quit like booze or opiates. For anti-depression you only need a bit once every 2 weeks. Some people (1 in 10 ish) are ULTRA sensitive and go straight to the K-hole for an unpleasant time on the lightest amount.

If you seek pain relief be careful. It's effective, makes you stupid for the first 15 minutes, and then you're good for some time. But if your body is in pain it's telling you something. If it's in chronic non-stop pain then it's relief. Be careful of a dependency and plan for the future (ie. don't let your supply get cut because then your life will be cut, aka lockdown, until you line up another source or few).

K is not like alcohol, as it doesn't make you stupid in the same way. It does slow you down at times. There's certainly about 50 shades of K, unlike the 8 to 16 bit general grey-scale of booze. Among those shades you can be blasted with crystal clarity - but Ketamine is a mistress of mystery, and even if you monitor your blood sugar, you never know what kind of trip you'll have, or how it will evolve. So self-operations are not recommended.

Pro tip: if you need so sober up someone on ketamine: give them sugar, preferably in liquid form, like you would a diabetic. Maple syrup, honey, soda, etc.

Second hand story: Bunch of folks at a hot tub party. A guy takes a chug from a bottle of water. Turns out it's pure ketamine. No one has ever done so much. They fed him maple syrup. He was fine.

Inject = 90%+ effective. Dry and snort = 80% effective. Swallow = 60% effective. I only ever snorted.

Ketamine is used on babies and the elderly because it's so safe (also vets who deal with a wide variety of animals of which they are not specific experts on). It does not suppress breathing or heart so overdosing is not really possible though walking into traffic or a pool or a plastic bag or something stupid is.

Medical grade nitrous oxide, aka dentists' laughing gas (not to be confused with racing car nitrous oxide mixed with a poison) and 5meo DMT don't have hangovers like other drugs. They aren't really useful for pain relief but those 3 are my faves, and just happen to be mostly safe and fun.
