It's got a two week incubation (?) period and its effects aren't immediately apparent. I've had friends and co-workers who "recovered" only to have horrible side effects like kidney/lung issues afterwards. It's also extremely contagious.

I'm of the opinion that anti-science morons should be allowed to not take the vaccines and die from it at home as a form of contemporary natural selection. But this isn't an argument against taking the vaccines, you're flat out wrong.

Why yes I have learned quite a bit about various virii. I've also learned how to spot an arrogant kid full of their own delusional hubris who can't put together a coherent educated retort unless it were to incidentally get in the way of them using their sexuality as their only crowning and defining experience in their short bitter lives. Where upon they avail themselves to verbally assaulting everyone involved with their catty, incessant whining as an attempt to selfishly garner greater attention to their self defined victim mentality.

The plural virii, though common, is based on a misunderstanding of Latin. There is no example of a plural for the word virus in Classical Latin.

Virii is NOT a word in Latin or English. There is no plural form of virus in Latin, and the plural of the word virus in English, the language we are currently communicating in, is viruses. So you're wrong in both Latin and English.

Yeah. I respect the freedom of idiots to act against their own interest. The whole natural selection thing is just cherry on top. But you know, with great freedom comes great responsibility. No, you were defending its usage one comment ago, with a quote from wikitionary and everything. You're just wrong. How many people did you know who got it? I suspect myself and my wife. This happened right on the outset. She works around sick people and my immune system is pretty gimpy so I catch everything from her. They only had tests for the very ill at that point so I don't know. I could be wrong.

My ex-BIL definitely got it, it killed him. Only guy I know who definitely had it and it was fatal.

Besides that I don't personally know anyone who had covid.

It completely disappeared during the summer, then came back like a miracle.
The tests are now producing 90% false positives.
But it could be that tourists/migrants caused some new infections.
