immigration

Even with illegal immigration ignored (although I believe it plays a part), there's still the war on drugs (that failed horribly), secret arrest quotas (that have been proven to exist), No-knock warrants (created in 1995) and a lot of other things that slowly built up to the point police act like soldiers in an urban war zone forced to operate unique rules of engagement. There's also a lot of people who blame Ronald Reagan for doing radical things to the way mental hospitals work. Some for the better, others for the worse.

Decades of mistakes slowly building up to what we have today. It would take forever to list them all.

"mistakes" yeah, sure, mistakes...

Some were definitely mistakes made with the best intentions that evil people capitalized on for profit, and so long as the money those mistakes created continues to flow, there continues to be a monetary incentive to create future laws/regulations to keep those cracks open. Whenever those new rules (which are usually poorly written with the vaguest terms possible to protect the fuckers making them) create new cracks, new people abuse them as well. This continues into a spiderweb of intentional dominoes that can often give off the impression of a global conspiracy. And sometimes there is one. Eventually a goody-two shoes (or another greedy moron who isn't as smart as they think they are) comes along and starts patches holes. Money dries up in certain areas. These vampires, now thirsty for missing wealthy, attack the weakest targets they can. Often the citizens or up and coming politicians that were never a threat to them in the first place, and that no one will miss if they go away.

To state the obvious: Money is created with profit. Wealth is created by stealing profit.

The wealthy need all these mistakes to survive, all the while knowing that the boat they're sinking has them as a passenger. I honestly believe mistakes are the foundation these monsters build off of.

I really appreciate this comment. It has made me think differently about what I commented. You present your views well, and I want you to know that it does not fall on a closed mind, or deaf ears.

I used to argue with a close friend of mine, where he said mistakes are the source of societies woes, while I said that directed corruption was the source. I'm starting to think that it is both, and it is as you said.

"Mistakes are the foundations these monsters build off of." See, you don't deny the fact that there are monsters who, for one reason or another, work together to a degree. But you also don't do what most do when they realize the government is inept... You don't blame it on a crew of masterminds. Now, I still know that there is a cabal, or global gang, who is seeking absolute control, and I still believe that they spread mental perspectives which influence people into making mistakes...

But I am starting to think that the mistakes, sometimes done by good people for good reasons, sometimes done by bad people for bad reasons, are a major problem which exacerbate the situation.

global gang, who is seeking absolute control,

There are several. As long as they fight each other, I think we're going to be okay. There's an equation about technological advancement and a government's control, but I can't remember it at the moment. The limitations to freedom are determined by how easy communication is. Hopefully technology will one day reach a point where information can't be censored so easily.

mistakes, sometimes done by good people for good reasons, sometimes done by bad people for bad reasons, are a major problem

They give a half of a solution, whisper it into the ear of an optimistic crusader, and when the law is put in place it acts like an intentionally placed zero day. Eventually it will get patched, but not before it's exploited. I think that's how most of these legal loopholes are created.
