Natural evolution isn't always 100% right otherwise we would be living in a paradise of immortality with no diseases, aging or ill health? Unlike his animal kingdom brethren, human is a sentient being who can think and reflect, who knows what pain and suffering is.

If indeed there is such a thing as a supreme or divine power controlling this universe, it will forgive lions or wolves for slaying other living beings but certainly not humans.

You are correct. Humans can do these things. Animals can not. Just like a criminal is not protected from the law, just like a thief is not protected by property rights, an animal is not protected by morality, because it can not act morally. In order to do that you need the intelligence to conceptualize eithics, which animals lack.
Yes, animals can still suffer. But aversion to suffering is a subjective preference. Personally, even though I prefer that animals are treated well and not abused, I don't care if an animal has to die or suffer so I can eat it. I care about humans in a different way specifically BECAUSE we are different from animals and are capable of acting morally. I don't care about the rights of amoral creatues (human or otherwise), because they don't care about my rights either.
