The latter part is really just the logical consequence of several facts. America was settled largely by Spanish crypto-Jews fleeing poysecution, and many of these people got involved with slave trading, ultimately leading to a slave-based economy. In this is the birth of Jewish (economic) power in America.

Oh sure, just ignore all the non-Jews largely responsible for its continuation and perpetuation. Ignore all the economic and political reasons behind it. Just blame it on a single group of people. That's totally sensible. What's nuance?
