Carswell, bro, I understand you wanna get these ideas out here, but this isn't even a meme. It's a quote.

Memes, at least in modern usage, should try to be short and entertaining, and use an intriguing or funny image, not a PowerPoint backdrop.

Collect your thoughts some more and try posting in other subs for a change.

I thought it was a funny quote with a funny image and I wasn't sure if Steve was notable enough to warrant quotes. I certainly considered posting it in quotes, and thanks to your feedback I won't hesitate again. It seems other folks appreciated it more than my other "jokes" regardless where I stuck it.

If you look at my history over the last couple years you'll find I do post in many other subs and all that karma didn't come from nowhere. /u/JasonCarswell/submitted/ My memes are a recent development, though not all as good as perhaps they should be, few are without intrigue, and none longer than a single image.

If you want to explain your issue in more detail I'm open to hearing about it. For example, do you come to SaidIt for the memes expecting generic memes? Is this the only meme sub you know of? Which other subs do you recommend I post my memes or other content in?

The meme subs I know of:
