I watched the first season or few. Interesting until it wasn't. A Jonathan Nolan project, brother and collaborator with Christopher Nolan.

Sometimes it's hard to say what is predictive programming and what is inevitable. One could say my grand story has elements of predictive something, but that's because I tried to imagine what the near future would be like - not because I have an agenda to make it happen.

I have heard of this place called The Pilot Bay so I will give it a shot. Thanks. s/ No, really, I will.

BTW, I had never even heard of Colony but just now watched the previews on IMDB and was amazed at how it is just like right now but with higher tech. So they were doing 2020 in 2016. I am going to get this and S04E11 of POI. Thanks.

I watched S4E11 and it was much better than the few other episodes I watched from season one or two. I enjoyed it. So SPOILER ALERT; I'm going to discuss that episode. I was looking for the joke either you or Jason mentioned and found a few possibilities. So here are gags or other things I liked:

    — During the opening credits a broker named Harvey, who looks very much like the famous recently imprisoned Harvey W. is about to jump out a window but is pulled back by one of the women using his necktie. "Not yet Harvey." A good gag. Was that filmed before Weinstein's troubles began?

Simulations: Interesting idea that took me a while to figure out. At one point I tried to go back a minute and got confused about which simulation I was in. Was it a reference to Elon Musk's "We live in a virtual reality" and maybe the "simulations" of so many "terrorist attacks" and school shootings? Not to leave out the multiverse concept popularized by Rick & Morty. "Simulation Terminated" was also funny.

The "Degas Original" sequences were a good diversion. Maybe Jonathan Nolan doesn't like Degas and had the drawing shot up? It was definitely amusing but if it was an actual joke, I didn't get it.

A reference to the much overused air duct cliche in so many movies. It's just amazing how often this plot device is used. But in this script the cast mentions it but decides to reject using the device. Good and very meta.

At one point the two women go into subtext talk: Obvious sexual overture—dismissal of sexual overture, etc. I liked this and the kiss that came later. Men love that stuff of course.

Overall I underrated this series, mainly because I was already going over to the landlord's house two nights a week to watch other stuff and every time he ate a lot of my brownies without pitching in for the main ingredient so I didn't want to add another day. I may go back and watch the whole series again.

Good and thanks for the links.

My landlord in Mexico used to invite me over to watch it and sometimes I couldn't think of an excuse. He also loved America's Got Talent but I just flat refused to watch that. He's from New York.

I think the term predictive programming was not a good choice on my part. I can't think of a better term right now but it would mean: a bit of propaganda to ease you into and and make you accept or welcome something that is coming soon. That is the real reason I didn't like POI; it was too obvious that the Hollywood/Deep State liason people were involved.
