As soon as you get big enough the owners get bought out then they turn the site. Reddit did it slowly. These days they'll accuse you of a made up crime to shut you down.

I know they've been working on it.

https://notabug.io is also an open-source old-Reddit fork similar to SaidIt that has been federated by /u/go1dfish who's helping M7D3 to make it happen for SaidIt too.
