If you're asking, it's because you want to censor political thought.

Edit: The 2020 US presidential election is gearing up to be a meme war between halfwits like the creator of this meme and everyone else. Can't wait.

Edit: No one seems to have pointed this out but no one knows what Muhammad looked like. When he was alive he wouldn't allow anyone to record his image in any way. So it isn't possible to draw a picture of Muhammad, which means Muslims get all hate'y when someone adds a label to a picture that says Muhammad. And how many Muslims called Muhammad that have photo ID with the label Muhammad? Shit loads.

I'm not actually asking though. It's just a meme I found rather hilarious. I found it from this Tweet, although I cannot confirm they are the creator.

[–]Aureus 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

Agreed. What theaters do you think the meme war will have? There's still a small amount of debate on reddit, though people like OP have probably censored most real discussion.

Dems have been acclimatising Reddit, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter users to censorship for the past four years, getting ready for this election. But there’s going to be another stock market crash and round of bailouts before then. And all these tech companies agreed that they wouldn’t be eligible for future bailouts if they manipulated their stock price again. Check out the nasdaq, it’s near record highs. To save investors the Fed will buy tech stocks making these companies state owned. The censors will be removed and the astroturfs blocked, so it’ll be Dems vs Reps as individuals on these platforms. And at the same time the real corruption from 2016 will be coming out. Wikileaks will release CIA Vault 7 part B (media ops) and everyone will find out who’s been trolling them.

Those are some mighty predictions.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

The last parts might be way off but the first part is pretty likely.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

I was thinking the same thing, escalated unlikelyhoods. Though I see more bailouts, I don't see more crashes so much as it's already terrible. Though as they say, it can always get worse.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

News has been telling us from the start that there will be a resurgence of the coronavirus. I think it already happened in China.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

They've certainly been prepping us for it. In the past the markets pumped the masses every 4-7 years. Seems like their going to milk the old cow to death and get them damn population numbers down.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, now it’s 7-12 years. What’s happening now could be a dead cat bounce.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's exactly how I see it. I think the only thing that will bounce back is their hysteria lock downs.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's a huge assumption.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Out of curiousity, are you the same Mr Obvious as the video producer?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

No.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Not so obvious.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Should have gone with MrOblivious. If someone would let me access saidit's Postgres I could change it?

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You are allowed to have multiple aliases, but you can't sockpuppet upvote them.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I liked the meme.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Thanks.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Is hentai information?

I'm opposed to censorship, but hentai is essentially Japanese pedo cartoons.

I'm actually fine with censoring child purn.

I think I make a solid argument in favor of violence against child molesters.

Although, I suppose that no one is actually being harmed in hentai.

Hentai falls into a moral grey zone.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Not all hentai has children in it.

I've never understood why everyone thinks banning child porn is a good idea. Everyone says that allowing it generates demand and helps the child porn industry, but I disagree. Imagine what would happen to the child porn industry if it is legal to pirate child porn and illegal to buy it. I imagine that not many people would risk jail time to get what is legal to obtain for free to support the industry, causing the child porn industry's profits to plummet.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Making child porn should be illegal. Child porn itself, meh. On one hand we can catch they criminals who rape and make it. On the other hand it's not fair to the kids - but at least there might be a chance to help them.

Making it illegal to buy, yet non-criminal to share - that's an interesting new one to me.

[–]ctvzbuxr 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Politics is not exactly the art of philospohical consistency.
"We need to ban guns, and we give certain people the right to use guns in order to enforce gun bans"
"We prohibit theft, and we will give a few people the right to steal most of people's income, which is then used to enforce our laws"
"Slavery is the worst thing that can ever happen to a human being, but we're gonna lock children up in education camps where they have to do work every day because that's just necessary for society"

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Great stuff.

Also, FYI, the USA has made slavery illegal EXCEPT for prisons. Curious that.

[–]NPC 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

This meme is complete nonsense. I'm not even a Trump Supporter.

"the comic is such a strawman you could put it in a field and it would scare away birds."

Couldn't have said this better /u/Aureus lol

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It works for me.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Where do you stand politically, OP?

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 4 fun5 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 4 fun -  (5 children)

It is rather confusing having an NPC with a MAGA hat in a meme

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

why, they're NPCs as much as any SJW. Trust sessions.

[–]Aureus 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yep. Makes zero sense.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

You're telling me the right doesn't regurgitate talking points without thinking?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Maybe. But is it fucked up that I agree with the alt-right on more issues than I agree with the alt-left/new-left/sjws?

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

TOTALLY AGREE!!!

That's how badly they've utterly infiltrated and subverted the real left and drop kicked the Overton window to the right.

Brilliant on their part, tragic for humanity.

/s/memes/comments/44k9/why_is_it_so_hard_to_make_classic_oldschool/

I try not to even call them "left". I call them Corporate SJW Dems.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I oppose the current government and state of the world. I, in general, believe that governments normally get pretty bad people in them. The alternative to this is the decentralization of society, but I'm not too sure how well this would exactly work out. Then again, I'm not too sure how well any political ideology would work out: to know how any political ideology, once implemented, would work out would require near omniscience. I think trying is a fair option.

To answer your question, I suppose I think anarchism should be tried out, but don't know how good it would be. So that would make me someone with no political ideology and an experimental anarchist.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

First posted this on Notabug.

[–]Aureus 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I can see why it got downvoted there... the comic is such a strawman you could put it in a field and it would scare away birds.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I just thought it was funny.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Although it does, I think, represent some Trump supporters.

[–]lastborn 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Magus in Chrono Trigger is literally a depiction of Muhammed that somehow made it past all Muslim filters (and an awesome one, at that).

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (17 children)

Since the link this post uses doesn't work, here's one that does.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (16 children)

A++

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

What? Why? (Isn't the maximum grade A+, anyway?)

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

A+ is good
A++ is great, worth sharing with truth-seekers
A+++ is very rare, brilliant, to the point, and worth sharing with the sheeple

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Why is a meme about hentai worth sharing with truth-seekers? Or, if it isn't, why does it get the grade which indicates this?

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I thought it was funny and insightful. It's also about free-speech - the most critical issue facing truth-seekers.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I don't think the truth seekers would support censorship, so I'm not so sure what this meme would change their mind on.

By the way, you seem to rate all my comments you respond to as both 'funny' and 'insightful'. Why?

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

The truth seekers have to fight censorship, obviously. The red hat is not a truther. The White face calls the red hat out on his hypocrisy. That short circuits his programming. It's not a puzzle. It's a joke.

"Insightful" and "Fun". I'm generous and have fun. You are not alone. I do it for everyone - especially in long threads. I can see where I've been. If someone's an asstroll I might only give them +1 to "mark it read" and if they have a point but used an unpleasant form of expression (ie. Niggot). I'll give them 0 if they're trash.

I never mark comments or posts I haven't read, even if the title sounds good.

If we had a rating of 0-10 then you'd see much more interesting ratings from me - and in the community, I would hope - like IMDb. It wouldn't be perfect but as it is, this system is critically flawed anyway. Votes don't count for shit - except the short potential for eyes and awareness. That ephemeral quality is not really very valuable. But it's better than nothing.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

You responded to this comment approximately one hour and two minutes after I posted it. How did you know it existed so soon? I don't think it would have appeared in your feed.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

1) I start at the top of my 300+ unanswered messages, dealing with the recent stuff first. More like a chat than a correspondence.

2) When I respond I can respond directly to the comment, look at the context, or unless there are 30+ comments I'll go directly to the post and see what else is new there. - That's how I found it so "fast".

3) You said "Thanks" on this page which brought me here.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

I completely forgot about (3). My brain is small.

You have 300+ unanswered messages and you respond to them? How much time do you spend on this site per day? (Of course, writing 'per day' assumes you spend a similar amount of time on this site every day, which may not be true.)

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

I spend most of my days on the computer, but not always on SaidIt.

That 300+ has backed up over the last couple years. If I were better at managing myself I would deal with them before going on to new content.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

I see.

By the way, the only reason I was on this post today (and thus said 'thanks') was because I noticed the trend that the only time I go viral is when I post something critical of some of the right. I've gone viral again, and the reaction was hilarious.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

The left-right thing is ridic. I lean old-left to be sure, but I am in no tribe.

It's nice to see the left is represented enough to vote that up, though I'm not sure half of the viewers get that it's a brilliant shit on the tribalists, especially the right. They think it's great to think "leftists bad" just because the SJWs are making it bad for everyone.

Thanks for linking me to it.

[–]CompleteDoubterII[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

You're welcome. (And this time, it's my own work; unlike this post.)

the SJWs are making it bad for everyone.

What do you mean? Sure, they're annoying, and seeing media (films, cartoons, some anime) pander to them is really annoying, but I don't think they hold much power in the real world.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

The insane left is distracting from the legit left while pushing everyone and the Overton Window to the right. They are progress-repellent.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

add a button we can click where we can see the pic here on saidit without going to the website

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Expandos are usually automatic, but SaidIt code has issues with some images and sites. d3rr is working on it.

[–]MarquisBoniface 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Information with an expression of some sort =/= expression of ideas

There are clear understandable parameters for expressing ideas that don't involve nudity and such

In this case as an example, a cartoon involving the Islamic prophet having graphic sex would still be "censored" by the original guy, not because it's offensive for it's message but because it's violating basic rules for presentation

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Who made these rules and why wasn't I notified?
