Leaving israel out of this is almost criminally negligent.

LOL, true enough. There's only so much space in a meme. I'm Canadian, too so I left out all that.

This message is not deep or profound or new to most at SaidIt, used by an international community. This message is aimed at your average American to make them think a bit on it. If people on SaidIt can share these memes to the general population then that counter-propaganda may be effective if only a little at a time a meme at a time.

The more skepticism, critical thinking, and questioning authority and experts we can foster, the better we'll all be, IMO.

Let's be real real for just one second. If your solution for those things is government welfare you don't really care either, you just want those virtue signalling, self congratulating dopamine hits.

When governments build housing complexes for the homeless they turn into ghettos, full of violence, drugs, gangs, prostitution, and crime. It turns out that homeless people aren't on the street because of all the reason SJWs make up. The solution isn't to simply put them into homes. To fix homelessness you need to address the real reasons they are there. You need to be able to call out the flaws these people have and force them to change. This is dirty work. There are no SJW point in it so no one wants to do it. In fact those who try are attacked by all the stupid SJWs who want to force another government handout so they can pat themselves on the back. There are thousands of these programs already and they don't work. New ones won't work either. You can't say you want to fix the problem when the solutions that can work you block and the solutions that wont work is what you want.

I agree. New Jack City was a GREAT movie.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Let's be real. I didn't even get to talking about solutions or socialism. This meme is non-partisan. You are spinning it.

They don't care - at all. This manufactured crisis for something we're not even sure about, that's less deadly than the flu, was an excuse to entirely shut down the global economy WITHOUT protecting the citizens from the inevitable problems that would arise. They've had all the VERY WELL FUNDED government organizations, agencies, and NGOs for decades with contingency plans preparing for just such occurrences all their existence, and now that they've failed at every level, demanded more money, and much more power - you don't find that suspicious? This engineered crisis is CAUSING vastly more homeless, unemployed, and hungry. All banks haven't stopped interest, all landlords haven't stopped collecting rent, there is no pause on the entire system, there is only their "essential" and "non-essential." A proper bail out would have given all of the people money that they would have put right into the banks, but instead they give it all to the banks who set up the crash and fuck the people.

The 1% ring of power are too big to fail making the rest of us too small to succeed.

Fuck SJWs and fuck anyone who lumps me in with them, especially if I happen to like some socialist ideas over exploitative capitalist ideas - which I didn't even do in this meme.

Also, FYI, the so-called socialist programs that "don't work" are designed not to work in the rigged systems. Your views on the poor and homeless are shamefully ignorant and regurgitated biased point propaganda nonsense, prancing as much as an SJW virtue signalling. However, I completely agree, that all leadership, left and right, should address the real reasons they are there to find authentic and pragmatic lasting solutions. But they won't because they are just wings of the same corporate business party with ZERO FUCKS to give to people who suffer.

[–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

You are spinning it.

I'm not spinning anything, I'm making a point. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it spin.

They don't care - at all.

"They" are not all one person. Of course an entire classification of people does not "care" about one particular issue. That claim can be made about absolutely any group ever. However, there probably are people who do fit those categories who do care but don't see a viable solution.

but instead they give it all to the banks who set up the crash and fuck the people.

This is a whole different issue. Corruption effects those who have jobs not those who don't. Corporate welfare is bad and it is not the opposite of social welfare. Money isn't taken out of the pockets of the unemployed to be given to corporations, it is taken out of the pockets of workers who pay taxes. The idea that if it wasn't given to the rich then the jobless would have it is insanely illogical. You are just upset at who got the welfare when it is welfare in any form that is wrong.

The 1% ring of power are too big to fail making the rest of us too small to succeed.

This sounds cleaver but means nothing.

which I didn't even do in this meme.

Not everything is about you. When I said "you" I was speaking to the audience and "you" referred to anyone who thinks the solution is government welfare. This is the SJW position. It denies the reality of all the failed programs. It denies the culpability of the "victims", who are in fact not victims at all.

programs that "don't work" are designed not to work in the rigged systems.

Oh, how convenient. You can never be wrong because all the evidence that you are wrong is magically converted into evidence that it wasn't done right. fuck off. There is literally no reasoning with you. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. You are insane.

Your views on the poor and homeless are shamefully ignorant and regurgitated biased point propaganda nonsense

Oh yeah, not an SJW at all. The fact is the majority of homeless are addicted to drugs, on which they spend more money than the cost of housing; and the effects of the drugs prevent them from holding down a job. But as a typical SJW facts don't matter because you FEEL that I'm wrong. You are a brainwashed idiot who can't even accept reality.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

You applied greater meaning to the meme, presumed I had a solution, was virtue signalling for dopamine, and proceeded to flay that proxy straw-man you built. That biased interpretation my friend IS spin.

I never said "they" are all one person. Again with the assumptions and specious arguments. Prove to me that "they", the ruling class, in their secretive social "rings of power" with their rigged systems and corporations, actually gives a fucking shit about us.

" Corruption effects those who have jobs not those who don't. " " Money isn't taken out of the pockets of the unemployed to be given to corporations... "

What? You make ZERO SENSE and are arguing against stuff I didn't say.

You need to be clear on something, which I admit I had not stated, though I didn't think it needed to be said. We are currently on the divide between two eras: 1) there was life as we knew it, before the manufactured corona crisis, and 2) the ruling class with their draconian policies are driving MILLIONS into being jobless, homeless, and hungry and setting the stage for immeasurable suffering, desperation, and violence, from the ashes of which they will establish their "new normal" after the corona crisis. My meme works for BOTH eras, but I was/am specifically aiming it toward the "new normal" because it's already clear THE RULING CLASS IS NOT HELPING THE MASSES UNDER THEIR TYRANNICAL LOCK DOWN.

It sounds clever but means everything about the systems is rigged in their favour. I can't help you if you're too dense to comprehend it.

Replies are publicly responding to the parent public comments unless otherwise stated - obviously. That's why I even bother to engage with comments I find worthy of refutation, clarification, expansion, analysis, commentary, and opinion - dimwitted or not. You weren't clear about which "you" and I think your claim is either a cop out now or was your own unclear fault then.

If you flipped a coin about half the time it was heads and about half the time it was tails, you'd think there was about a 50/50 chance each time. If the ruling class provides programs out of the goodness of their hearts, you'd think they'd benefit the rich more or the masses more about 50% of the time. Virtually without exception, everything the ruling class does benefits the ruling class and exploits the masses. Every part of their matrix of rigged systems is corrupted in countless ways for their full spectrum dominance backed by their monopoly on violence in their fifth generation warfare against civilization.

As to your blind dogmatic faith in the graces of authority, you too can "fuck off". You can't reason with me because you have no reasoning skills and we've all been brainwashed all our lives with VERY advanced methods to obey and have faith in authority - though clearly many of us cannot break free. Defending authority proves you are still their slave suffering from Stockholm syndrome. To be clear: I have compassion and patience for you and don't hate or blame you. People may wake up of their own accord, at their own pace, and at different stages in their life, to greater and lesser degrees on matters. You are a victim of circumstance and mind control under the ruling class. And I am trying my best to help you and folks in general to think skeptically, critically, and freely. I have my own limits too, many I know of, many I don't know of yet, and many I'll never know - like everyone, ZERO EXCEPTIONS.

I don't think you know what an SJW really is, because I'm anything but that. Calling someone one when they aren't proves you're using talking points and clichés as a pathetic defense. I could call you an invisible pink unicorn but that doesn't make it true.

To glean one definition, I recommend you read "SJWs Always Lie: Taking Down the Thought Police" by the sci-fi author and alt-right personality Vox Day. Vox Day also founded InfoGalactic.com, a site of which it seems I have been gifted/granted admin status (https://infogalactic.com/info/User:JasonCarswell), though I don't know what being an admin is about, and I lean centrist-left and not alt-right. (I'm there for the deep encyclopedia and lack of censorship rampant on Wikipedia, including an abundance of SWJ censorship.)

" The fact is the majority of homeless are addicted to drugs "

Nonsense. Proof? Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof.

In America the heartless capitalist ruling class essentially shut down their care systems for people with mental health issues. There used to be enough asylums (or whatever politically correct term you like) to care for people on the spectrum from bonkers to mostly normal with issues. Those people were ejected and now the bloated prison industrial system unsuitably houses a lot of them - for tax-payer-raping profits. Some of them are also unsuitably in hospitals. And of course, sadly, countless with mental health issues now live on the streets. They didn't choose that life. And yes, many of them use drugs to escape their problems that are ignored by the government and the masses like you who've swallowed their bullshit. Also note - the unelected permanent deep state is organized crime and they facilitate and unleash their drugs, legal, or illegal, and to this day the ruling class does little about the Drug barons of Colombia and the US military guards the opium fields in Afghanistan.

" on which they spend more money than the cost of housing "

This is utterly terrible logic. They are homeless so they spend nothing on housing, therefor anything they spend otherwise, small or great, is "more".

" the effects of the drugs prevent them from holding down a job "

MORE sweeping generalized talking point bullshit. You don't know this at all. There is no shortage of fully employed and functional alcoholics and opiate addict and pot smokers, not to mention the cocaine and ketamine fueled orgy that is Wall Street, Hollywood, and Washington, D.C. The majority of addicts have underlying mental health issues. Look into the best on this, Dr. Gabor Maté and his abundant presence on YouTube.

" But as a typical SJW facts don't matter because you FEEL that I'm wrong. You are a brainwashed idiot who can't even accept reality. "

Ironically this is inversed. You are demonstrably wrong and regurgitating propaganda feelz at me with nothing to back it up.

Please take the time to carefully consider if you want to actually make a response, because this doesn't look good for you and frankly it's a waste of time, energy, and space in this comment section. Of course you're free too, but please, bring your A game because this is tedious and I'm tempted to simply ignore your ignorance that is plain for all to see.

It's an opportunity to expose ideas the "mainstream" corporate media brainwashing propaganda omits - for him if he wants to learn about them, and for anyone else who reads this.

Also, I'm backed up with my messages because I write rants like on this page.

Usually love your stuff Jason but lately have not been using these memes right my friend.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

How so? The more specific the better.

It's a new phase I'm going trying out. I admit it's often hit or miss, trying to be funny/witty/edgy/relevant/topical/concise, and make it all look good is tricky. And often it's at the end of a day when I'm tired and not at my sharpest. But ultimately, despite some of the duds, I'm much happier creating my own memes with intentions than just sharing random stuff I find along the way.

I welcome critical feedback. Even if I may not agree, I am willing to adjust my tone, to better reach more people. If I get no feedback I have no way to know which way the public sentiment wind is blowing. If enough folks dislike I can certainly stop.

Also, on another note, astronautrob, I'm a huge fan of space exploration, though in this new year I haven't been keeping up, in part because I was working on getting a first draft of my hard-sci-fi story, Bittersweet Seed, finished to share for feedback (the last Act 3A takes place in space with my entirely unique pipe dream of what really could potentially and practically be if we legit serious about space) - and in part because I was distracted by this corona thing and pulled back into these addictive SaidIt social media interactions. In May I intend to pull back and do more for the SaidIt and WikiSpooks communities, rather than keep up on the lates, and of course return to writing the most important and epic cautionary tale I can must (whether actually it is or not remains to be seen).

Also, I appreciate the love. It's nice to hear I'm not wasting my time.

[–]astronautrob 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

I'm glad it came off as love cause that's how it was intended. Also, memes can be w.e they want a suppose so what I'm about to say probably isn't even right. But when I see memes they usually are with a certain cadence or set up line, if you will. For instance take the LOTR meme you posted here with Boromir. So in the movie Boromir's line is "One does not simply walk in to Mordor", something to that effect. So the cadence for the set up line for this meme is usually "one does not simply...." Then the punch line.

So something like "one does not simply...eat only one lays chip", terrible and not funny but you get the idea. Most memes have this same type of construction. Picture that is associated to some line/saying, usually the set up line or w.e, then you add your joke. Not all memes have the exact same structure or even have a "set up line" but they do generally follow some sort of similar way of being presented.

Another example would be the most interesting man meme I saw you post the other day. Usually with that meme it follows the commercial that it comes from. So commercial goes, "I don't always drink beer but when I do it's dosexecies" or however it's spelled. So set up line is "I don't always do X but when I do it's Y". So again something like "I don't always debate progressives but when I do I always throw up a little in my mouth", again terrible but hope you get the idea.

Just my strategy when it comes to memes is I'll try to Google image search the meme first. Usually it will come up with pics of the meme obviously but they will also be all similar and from that I can figure out the set up line or how the meme is "supposed" to go. I hate saying supposed to do anything so again these can be w.e. In fact don't even listen to me keep doing what you do I'm enjoying the originality.

I try to assume the best intentions in this limited medium. And it becomes more and more clear to me that people who avoid dragging down conversations rarely appear to lose their standing, even if a few rare adversaries manage to get a few witty jibes in. (The majority of jibes and insults are so utterly lacking in imagination or creativity that their banality ruins for all what could potentially be an interesting exercise in verbal sparring.) With my chronic manic-depression I find my attempts to focus on elevated discourse (for the most part) to be and almost Zen-like meditation of sorts. But I digress...

Ah, I see what you're saying. I'm not following the unspoken conformist meme rules of the game. I'm not against them, but I do what feels right. And I'd argue that in some cases I have reasonably conformed - for your consideration:

/s/memes/comments/44ln/the_1/
/s/memes/comments/44as/biden_2020/
/s/memes/comments/44le/naïve_public/
/s/memes/comments/4460/boner_density/
/s/memes/comments/44kb/corporatocracies_of_the_world/
/s/memes/comments/44kd/zionist_leaders_tyrannical_powers/

Your advice is well taken, has given me food for thought, and I assure you now, that I will check if common threads occur over other memes, before I chose to conform or not, depending largely if I come with a preconceived idea or just riff on what pops up.

I like that Dos Equis set up and payoff thing! I might revisit that.

Thanks for the ideas.

How would you suggest making improvements without using violence?

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

There are no shortages of solutions and alternative solutions out there. Some are even effective and long lasting. But power concedes absolutely nothing without a demand or fight, and they have the monopoly on "legitimate" violence.

Your question can take 2 forms - 1) pre-corona lock step lock down, and 2) post-corona lock step lock down. In both cases the masses need to wake up to their rigged systems, organizing, and rejecting the corrupt authority. Prior to this "new normal" I would have suggested things like many more 3rd parties, ranked choice voting, decentralizing all things, etc. (See also this conversation with my pipe dream list.) Since they've manufactured this crisis, all bets are off. They've already passed new draconian laws, and are intentionally forcing people to become desperate and to be sure the violence will come, without doubt, sooner or later. Taking away peoples homes, means of employment, and food supply IS A FORM OF VIOLENCE.

The corrupt state has already thrown the first knockout punch in this round, and their propaganda keeps most folks asleep. This is fifth generation warfare between the ruling class and the 99%. We've been in a class war since time began and most don't even realize it.

It's time to /s/pushback. Nonviolence is preferred and cannot be sullied, unlike use of force, excessive or not, always shows they are in the wrong.
