That's a logical leap. An alternate viewpoint is that the flu panic is blown away out of proportion and that subsequently in the long run, more people are going to suffer and die from financial issues being forced into poverty than from the wu flu.

I don't think I made a logical leap in saying that the psychological and physical duress that is created by hopeless poverty is a major contributor to suffering and premature death.

Min wage is fine of you have a hobby of sustainability. It's when you live in an apartment and pay 900 bucks a month is the problem. The 1500 bucks I pay goes to my house and that will be paid off leaving 70% or so of my payments in my own hands. In an apartment, 0% of those payments are yours.
