I had an argument once with my gf over male/female deaths, and she yelled: "WHAT ABOUT WOMEN GIVING LABOUR". And I figured it was a good argument. Until I realized that gardeners die on the job at the same rate as women giving labour. Gardeners!

Depends where you look. If you consider the entire world, the deaths during labour are quite a lot, but in the west with our healthcare its drastically reduced.

USA deaths during labour(17.2): https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/cdc-says-more-half-us-pregnancy-related-deaths-are-preventable-180972140/

I can't find just gardening, but after number 11 of this list, all of them are more than 17.2: https://eu.usatoday.com/story/money/careers/2018/01/09/workplace-fatalities-25-most-dangerous-jobs-america/1002500001/

You might be surprised which jobs kill the most.
