Citizens of China are more likely to respond with answers that won't get them in trouble. They have no freedom of speech. They wanted democracy in 1989, but thousand of people were killed in Tiannaman Square after six weeks of protests and lies from the government about reforms, crushing the hopes of Chinese citizens nationwide. That memory and fear still linger amongst the Chinese people.
