Most states just call their legislatures the "legislature", but a lot of them, including my state of Arkansas, call them the "General Assembly" (which I thought was the norm before I looked it up). New Hampshire and Massachusetts call theirs the "General Court", which reminds me of how county legislatures in Arkansas are called "Quorum Courts". Oregon calls theirs the "Legislative Assembly", which seems like a compromise between "Legislature" and "General Assembly".
