What does America have to do with increased life expectancy?

The Americans oversaw the economic development of the world. The US Navy kept the seas clear for trade. Anyone could participate. Do you think the tremendous changes for the better came out of nowhere?

Life expectancy started rising in the western world in the late 19th century back when Britain was the world superpower and the European powers still dominated the world. Ascribing it all to USA is grossly innacurate.

This chart is postwar, you deliberately framed the question so as to eliminate America. Well-done. One must admire such intellectual dishonesty.

I have no idea what your argument here is. Your original post implied that the rise in life expectancy in the last 70 years is solely due to USA. I pointed out that it's an inaccurate worldview. Also, something I forgot previously, correlation does not equal causation.

The USA provided the platform of peace and free ocean transportation through the world that enabled this amazing economic revolution to occur. Without it, no global supply lines, no way to get products from cheap labor countries, no way to get raw materials in and finished products out.

I know, you hate America and don't want to admit that it ever did anything good. Baby-killers, etc. But the data show otherwise.

Don't worry, the American-led global order is coming to an end soon. It will be back to the old ways of war for conquest and markets. No more World Police. You'll love it!

??? Where did I say that?

Oh, it's pretty common. In fact it's what most of the world thinks. They want us to go home.

Well, we're going to, and it's going to result in wars breaking out all over the place, and a reversion to poverty as global supply chains break down. We're already getting a taste of the future with the Wuhan virus situation.

It's going to be glorious. The very people who screamed at us to get out are going to be begging for us to come back. And we'll look down and whisper, "No."

You did not answer my question.
