There's people on Tumblr who think they were angels or dragons or other random cool things in a past life, they're called "otherkin". Some of them do claim to have phantom sensations "where their wings used to be" or even that it hurts when somebody on the bus sits on their "spirit tail". It's a very similar brand of crazy to a lot the people we laugh at here.
