They were the the respectable side of the family obviously. My Great Grandmother herself had to get married at 18 when she was 7 months pregnant and lived in social housing her whole life.

It's quite funny how Americans think there's nothing between poverty and the middle class.

Just tell the majority of your working class they are middle class and watch sensible left wing politics disappear, it's a great tactic.

Anyone who has to sell their labour to survive is working class.

A lot of the answers are weirdly worded and hard to understand. Like "valued and revered as abstract but not as reality" makes no sense to me. A lot of them ain't mutually-exclusive, so I often found myself agreeing with two or all of them. I also seriously question the labels — and even the three-class theory in general.

Regardless, I agree with "Poverty" 2/3 of the time, "Middle Class" around half of the time, and "Wealth" 13% of the time — but this is assuming I can choose more than one answer per row. The two times I agreed with "Wealth": I also agreed with the other two, and every time I agree with more than one: "Poverty" was always included.

This is pretty absurd on it's face, but the larger trend you are pointing out is very interesting. I'll just add the US's treatment of Huawei regarding the 5G rollout as a counter example.

American companies suck up to China in the hopes they'll be able to sell their products there, or in fear of retribution from the CCP. Google tried making a censored version. Hollywood is practically owned by China. They literally own Legendary Entertainment Group.

I made a little graphic of how they control the US. It's worth looking through. Most of it revolved around Tencent, which is a huge national security threat.

The message is that China is colluding with big tech to carve up the Internet and take full control.

" These numbers came from a work carried out from 2002 to 2006 by Richard Lynn, a British Professor of Psychology, and Tatu Vanhanen, a Finnish Professor of Political Science, who conducted IQ studies in more than 80 countries.

Richard and Tatu argues that differences in national income are correlated with differences in the average national intelligence quotient (IQ). They further argue that differences in average national IQs constitute one important factor, but not the only one, contributing to differences in national wealth and rates of economic growth.

These results are controversial and have caused much debate, they must be interpreted with extreme caution. "

This isn't mine, I didn't make it. But it seems pretty accurate. I'd move NPR a bit more to the left, and I'd put NBC, CBS, and ABC news all below the BBC.

CNN's placement is accurate, lol.

Also I'd put RT (international) just to the right of the BBC. And Al Jazeera English quite to the left of AFP, but still high in quality. Those aren't on the chart, but should be.

This is the reason I mostly read Reuters now, it's one of the most neutral and informational sources around, at least that I can find. It will sometimes lie by omission with a liberal slant (or under-report something to hide it) but that's relatively rare, I've found. And then I use a conservative-leaning news sources, and international sources, to cross-check the story to make sure I'm not missing any angles if it's something I really care about.
