Let's see if we can disentangle this ball of rat king retardedness

  1. Roosevelt wants America to join the war because he's part of the Illuminati or whatever

  2. During Roosevelt's (allegedly) twice daily briefings on Japanese naval sigint, he's informed that Japan are about to attack Hawaii

  3. The minute they do a hostile maneuver in American water, it's an act of war. But for some reason he let's it take place, anyway?

Point 1 is that he wants a war.

However history didn't care whether he did or didn't - because the Japanese are already on their way to attack.

Actually Japan are about to thrust America into the war regardless of Roosevelt's desires.

So why is this conspiracy needed at all? The conspiracy would be - if Roosevelt was secretly behind Japan's attack. But even that's not alleged here

"My fellow Americans I regret to inform you that this morning the Japanese navy moved a carrier group into Hawaiian waters (which we destroyed)....while simultaneously attacking our protectorate of phillipines....we are therefore in a state of war with the empire of Japan".....isn't that enough for an isolationist America to go to war?

That's enough for a war....the conspiracy is that he subsequently stood down the navy? Or what?

If he knew the carrier group was coming, then he had sufficient grounds for war, and he should have been happy at that point that his desire (to enter the war) was achieved

He scoffs at the idea of a Nazi invasion of the US but we have to be fair. That in specific may not have been realistic, but there was a very real conspiracy to overthrow FDR and install a facist government that would side with Germany, it's called the Business Plot.

Yeah, Huey Long was going to be a fascist POTUS when he got assassinated in 1935. So there was already a sort of pre-emptive "overthrow" by assassination of the likely future POTUS which was to be a fascist.
