The vast majority of Americans today do not have ancestors that were even in America at the time this happened, holding different people responsible for living under the wrong imaiginary border hundreds of years later doesn't make any sense

Most mexicans are decendents of Spaniards who invaded America. The Mexican invasion of the US is just a continuation of that heritage.
