Very interesting. I never learned anything at all about this in the history classes I was taught. Yet what a profoundly important episode in shaping and illustrating US culture.

The opposite of a bad thing, however, is not a good thing. While indiscriminate deportation (as practiced in the article) represents recognizable ignorance and evil, its opposite - intentional total and complete abandonment of border controls on the southern border - is equally ignorant and evil.

The common factor in both examples is a self-serving oligarchy creating policies causing suffering and misery for millions to move a piece in some "great game" they believe they have the wisdom to pay. They don't have the wisdom, and their actions consistently demonstrate their absolute lack of compassion for the human beings affected by their hubris.

Most of the facts are not discussed, The US deported illegal immigrants. They were not American Citizens.

Man, we got nothing on Russia. That wasn't the only relocation either.

It's not that bad.
