Why is there no age verification?

There's basically no content policy on the website especially in regards to adult content (only no porn). There needs to be age verification if the website doesn't want legal prosecution

There is a policy... https://saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/j1/the_saiditnet_terms_and_content_policy/ It says no pornography allowed. I am new to saidit so I am not sure how well it's enforced but I read that when I joined.

Yeah but pornography is not the only type of adult content that exists. In fact I think everything else is allowed

how do cable tv channels handle it ?

warnings and most of the active effect being put on the parents

Certain types of content is only allowed after a certain time of the night.

Adult content can still be shown during day but shows the recommended age before the presentation. Normally that type of content is the non-problematic one like an action movie etc.

Content like hard pornography is only avaible on cable television and normally requires a password to access the channel.
