In Germany we call this "FÜHRER"-schein. The difference to US of A is: You actually gotta learn some rules and shift manually for it. It's easy to ace the theory part if you know physics somewhat and check all boxes with "No" to drugs and alcohol and for the practice part it very much depends how well you get along with your driving teacher. I aced both, obviously.
