Post and Comment Karma? What do they mean and why should I care?

Hello! And thanks for SaidIt. I have a question about the Post and Comment Karma on my (anyone's) profile page. Is it as simple as "Post Karma 2" means I've made 2 posts, and "Comment Karma 80" means I've made 80 comments? Or is there more going on? (Couldn't find this answer in the wiki - please post that link if it's there).

Also - is there something earned or not earned by higher or lower karma points in either one?

It's calculated based on the total number of upvotes on your posts and comments.

If you have 0 karma, you must do captchas to post. Some wikis require you to have X karma to edit them. That's about it. Also insightful votes are worth 2 karma, and funny is worth 1.
