Usually it's caused by clicking the 'save' button more than once, but sometimes is occasionally caused by other things like technical malfunctions.
Usually the mods or admins will remove obvious accidental duplicates or triplicates, just to keep things clean. It happens sometimes, no big deal :) It's recommended you delete the extras if it ever happens again
